What’s the Best Title for My Movie?
As I’m getting ready to go back out into Hollywood in the New Year with a new pitch for my screenplay/movie, what do you think is the best title?
Pitch Opening: Since 2004, Hollywood has been looking for the next “The Passion of the Christ”—something compelling with comparable domestic and international appeal and box-office potential. Something fresh yet familiar that will make some kind of noise. Here it is:
Logline: In dreadful fulfillment of Jesus’ most dramatic prophecy, a Jewish priest and army general switches sides, plays a pivotal role, and struggles with the decision to destroy Jerusalem and the Temple during the Jewish-Roman War of A.D. 66-70. (Based on a true story.)
Genre: A high-concept, action-adventure, historical and political epic.
Framing: Warriors is The Passion of the Christ meets Braveheart with a Gladiator twist.
Endorsement: “It’s the greatest story never told!” (Dr. Ted Baehr, Movieguide)
