I’m Sick of All This Prophecy Stuff!
Commented one FB poster to me this week.
She continued, “it’s God’s deal and his will, not ours. . . . It’s quite silly if you ask me.”
To which I replied:
“All this prophecy stuff” is not a fringe issue, an appendix to Christianity, or even “silly.” And it’s not about the proverbial “end of the world.”
It’s all about the completion of God’s plan of redemption for humankind at the end of the age – big difference. And that completion is behind us, not ahead of us.
Another big difference.
Too bad so many have messed it up so badly.
In opposition to Scripture, the vast majority of Christians are contending for a faith that has not yet been “once for all delivered to the saints” (see Jude 3).
Hence, Jesus has to come back and deliver the rest someday.
But who should we believe – the so-called “prophecy experts” or inspired Scripture?
What say you?
