Just Started Writing My Next Book
Next to the Person of Christ, the kingdom of God is the most important and all-encompassing concept of Scripture. So much is contained within it. Yet the kingdom remains one of the most misunderstood, misconstrued, confused, abstracted, abused, contested, and ignored realities in Christianity.
Today most churches rarely mention the kingdom, let alone teach and obey its established and present-day elements. For centuries, even theologians have been divided over both its timing and nature. All this confusion and differences have led to a number of conflicting beliefs, bizarre behaviors, and avoidance practices that have no foundation in the Bible and yet have long held controlling influence over countless Christians.
Consequently, the concept of the kingdom of God has become majorly corrupted and our “a once mighty faith” has been termed as having been “tamed”—not by outside opposition or opposing forces; but rather by sabotage from within. And we are paying a huge price for this deficiency.
